NEWFOUNDLAND DEVELOPMENT

  • Detailed tower crane and slipform study
  • 4D basement workshops
  • 4D schedule testing workshops
  • 5,000 activity schedule represented

The Newfoundland project is a 60-storey residential development at the western end of the Canary Wharf Estate. The site is bound by busy roads on 3 sides and a dock on the fourth. The Jubilee Line runs directly beneath the project.

With a very tight site and deep basement, Canary Wharf commissioned Freeform to create a detailed 4D model to test and secure the schedule and logistics phases during the sub-structure stages. The model was also used to develop the tower crane jump strategy and validate resource allocations for super-structure and fit-out works.
