We are focussed on improving project outcomes.  We work with teams to create project plans that are safer, more secure, delivered earlier, with reduced costs, and less conflicts.  We enjoy being on site with project teams, running model workshops and developing technology & process to create unique solutions.

For each new project, we bring our deep experience of 4D modelling and work closely with planners, project managers and engineers to improve the plan of work.  At the core of our delivery is how we engage with project teams.  We encourage workshops and ensure that the modelling process is connected to stakeholders in the wider project team, including the supply chain and site team.

4D is an iterative process, where the sequence, logistics and design information have an impact on each other.   We run, record and refine the 4D model both during these workshops and offline, always aiming for a best representation of how the project is going to be delivered.

4D is often under-valued, sometimes framed as an output or ‘animation’.  When used early and with broad project team engagement, 4D is a powerful tool to greatly improve outcomes, not solely to validate a sequence or communicate a site plan.



We continue to extend the function and application of 4D modelling to suit each new project’s particular requirements. With recent developments in Virtual Reality we are now live on a number of projects where navigation of the logistics sequence are performed in VR, using the HTC Vive. We're developing tools such as mark-ups, machinery interactions, time navigation and multi-user, which all lead to improved understanding and spacial planning.

Micro-planning, supply chain and delivery route mapping have been used on recent projects. We have also embedded site photos and fabrication histograms within the 4D models to assist in the communication of the construction sequence.



Our key measure of a model's success is the clarity with which the construction strategy is modelled. Expert use of cameras, level of detail, colours, keys, cutting planes and filters add to the value and flexibility of our models. We build models in a way that they are robust and can be driven by the team not familiar with the software or the model itself. We hand over models to our clients and encourage their use, rather than relying on animation or sequence slide decks.



Our models are 'hand-built' by experts.  We automate very little of our process, ensuring that each detail is considered and accurate within the whole sequence. We understand the impact that errors have on decisions, and work hard to ensure our models are true to plan. Our collective backgrounds are engineering and construction, and as such we build models with a high level of precision and construction sense.



Crucial to a model's value is the level of detail.  We work closely with project managers, planners and engineers to establish model LOD that allows complete interrogation of the sequence and logistics. 4D models are excellent tools for developing schedules to greater level of detail, exactly where required.   

We often build separate, detailed models of key sequences or focus on a typical cycle of a repeated activity.  This allows the installation or cycle to be fully understood and developed alongside the main construction model.
